PCB decides to bring Babar Azam back as captain: Sources

Babar Azam
The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to make Babar Azam the captain of the national cricket team once again.

According to sources, the decision was taken in a meeting on Thursday night. The decision is said to be unanimous. The newly-reorganized selection committee is also said to be in agreement over Babar’s name for captaincy.

He had stepped down as Pakistan’s all-format captain after a disastrous World Cup campaign last year. Babar arrived in Lahore on Tuesday night after performing Umra. He reportedly met people at the PCB as well.

The captain has a seat on the newly organized selection committee as well as the national team coach.
