Hundreds of people protested Saturday in Tunis against a draft constitution put forward by President Kais Saied, demanding his resignation before Tunisia votes on the disputed charter. The referendum will take place a year to the day after Saied sacked the government and suspended parliament in a decisive blow against the country’s often chaotic young democracy. “Get out”, the demonstrators yelled as they waved Tunisia’s red-and-white flag at a gathering on Habib Bourguiba Avenue in the capital. “The people want the fall of Kais Saied; the people want the fall of the constitution,” chanted those who rallied in response to a call by the National Salvation Front (FSN) opposition alliance. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday berated the coalition government for issuing "irresponsible statements" against the Taliban-led Afghan administration and stressed cooperation with the neighbouring nation. Islamabad has repeatedly raised concerns over Kabul's harbouring of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants and not implementing its promise of ensuring that its soil is not used for terrorism. TTP has ended the ceasefire with Pakistan and increased terror activities across the country, leaving several people dead and scores injured, despite the government's "zero-tolerance" policy. Three high court judges, take oath as SC judges

Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial administered oath to Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Shahid Waheed and Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi. Justice Rizvi was serving at the Sindh High Court, while Justice Waheed was serving at the Lahore High Court. Justice Minallah was the chief justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) before his elevation. The three judges were administered the oath of office after the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP), last month, had approved their elevation. Before their oath, the apex court was short of five judges out of its total strength of 17. Now only two vacant posts remain on the top court’s bench. During the JCP meeting, Justice Minallah's name was proposed unanimously, while Justice Rizvi and Justice Waheed were recommended by a 5-4 ratio. Five seats fell vacant in the apex court upon the retirement of former CJP Gulzar Ahmed and justices Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, Maqbool Baqir, Sajjad Ali Shah and Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed. After...
