First Confirmed Case of Monkeypox Emerges in Islamabad

Country’s first case of monkey-pox has been reported in Islamabad.
Country’s first case of monkey-pox has been reported in Islamabad. According to sources from the National Institute of Health, the 42-year-old monkey-pox patient is a resident of Attock and had arrived in Islamabad from Dubai on August 15.

BHS staff confirmed monkey-pox symptoms in the passenger at airport.

The patient was transferred from the airport to PIMS after symptoms appeared.

The National Institute of Health confirmed monkey-pox in the patient on August 18.

The monkey-pox patient has been kept in isolation at home.
