Polio tally reaches 21 as Sindh, KP report two new cases

According to NEOC, the new cases emerged from Lower Dir in district Kohistan, KP, and Badin in Sindh.
Authorities have urged parents to ensure their children receive polio drops as well as complete their vaccination course on time to secure their healthy future.
NEOC stressed that both parents and communities have a crucial role to play in eradicating the virus, calling on people to extend full cooperation to polio workers during the campaign.
Polio, a crippling disease with no cure, remains a serious health threat in the country.
Multiple doses of the oral polio vaccine and completion of the routine vaccination schedule for all children under the age of five are essential to provide children with high immunity against this terrible disease.
Pakistan is one of the last two countries in the world, alongside Afghanistan, where polio remains endemic.
Despite global efforts to eradicate the virus, challenges such as security issues, vaccine hesitancy, and misinformation have slowed progress.
